Crazy Modern Abstract wall hanging "Eclipse" is the latest piece in my Quilter At Play series. The piece measures 49 x 54 inches. I have been experimenting with improvised piecing with and without blocks. (Check out Chaos and Moon Over Mardi Gras) Each one is similar in that they all use a collection of brightly colored batiks. The backing is a black cotton with hearts printed in gray. The batting is 100% cotton. I have attached a hanging sleeve and corner pockets. You will need to purchase a dowel 53 inches long.
Quilt can be washed in cold water with soap, rinsed twice and tumble dried or laid flat to dry. There is slight shrinkage with the first wash. The double-fold French binding is attached by machine, then stitched down by hand for a professional finish.
